The visual design of Web 2.0

So what are the visual design elements of Web 2.0? Well to start, gradients, colorful icons, reflections, dropshadows, and large text all play a big role. Granted these particular design features are not required of a Web 2.0 site, but they certainly seem to be prevalent in the new breed of sites emerging on the Internet. In a way, through design and CSS, you can immediately announce to your visitors that you are proficient in the latest coding and design trends, and staying afloat in the quickly changing world of web design.
