How Do You Use Social Media?

January 12th, 2010 · No Comments

There are many reasons to use social media: to create buzz, to raise brand awareness, to generate sales, to engage in market research, and the list goes on. It’s important you understand why you’re using social media and what your goals are before you “join the conversation.”

Are you ready for change? Ten years ago, Yahoo was the biggest search engine on the internet, followed by AltaVista. No one expected Google to become as big as it has today. Times change. Facebook and Twitter may be the “it” tools today, but be prepared to learn new tools.

Just as search engines are here to stay, so too is social media. But the tools we use may change over time. Don’t get too attached to your favorite platform, it might be gone tomorrow.

We want to know how you’re using social media in your business. What are your favorite tools and platforms? Tell us! We look forward to hearing from you.
